The LGBT Center of SE Wisconsin was established with a major gift from one of our founders in the form of a building, along with associated start-up expenses contributed by Milwaukee's Cream City Foundation and other supportive organizations. But it takes many people to make a community center work, so we hope that you will join us.
The LGBT Center of SE Wisconsin is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Much of our support comes from memberships where your donations are treated as tax-deductible contributions ... much like National Public Radio stations.
We offer several levels of support:
• Individual: $20/year
• Ally: $20/year
• Household: $30/year
• Student, Senior, Low-Income: $10/year
Non-Profit Organizations & Businesses
• Organizational Affiliate: by budget size
• Business Supporter: by revenue
Please see specific details and suggested support on our Membership page.
Contact us for information about recognition for more substantial levels of support.
Mission Statement
The LGBT Center of SE Wisconsin serves two vital purposes:
(1) To provide a safe and supportive environment through which LGBT people, their family, friends and allies in Racine, Kenosha and surrounding communities can access needed informational, professional, social, and health-related services; and
(2) To link and integrate the LGBT population of Racine and Kenosha with the myriad nonprofit organizations, causes, and services already operating inside and out of this area.
Help us keep this mission alive, contribute today!

Online Today, Building Tomorrow
Our center offers programs and services for LGBT(Q) people, youth, transgenders, people of color and those with HIV/AIDS, LGBT seniors, parents and family of LGBT youth, and children (no matter what age) with LGBT parents.
Sometimes serving as prime mover and sponsor -- and other times working together with our partners and affiliates -- programs and services available at the LGBT Center of SE Wisconsin will encompass mental and physical health referrals ... arts, leisure, recreation and culture... legal, business and professional referrals ... information and/or education ... community outreach, training and advocacy ... computer access ... recreational activities ... and civic engagement.
Please see our Services page for a more complete listing of what we will provide to each other, our family, friends and community.
Our newly renovated building is open daily (except Tuesdays and Sundays) as a "drop-in" center to visit and a facility to be shared or used to enjoy special events that are scheduled each month (see our Calendar page for this month's activities, as well as those coming up later).
